"Deaf Club" is the place which welcomes all Deaf gays and lesbians.

名字意義

「紫荊」是香港土生土長的意思。

「聚集」邀約男女聽障同志一同參加聚會，彼此相熟的意思。

It is a very beautiful flower called Bauhinias. It carries special meaning to our club.  First of all, it is the city flower of Hong Kong. Furthermore, the portrait of the back-to-back man and woman from each side of the Bauhinia represents the union of gays and lesbians into one.

這是一朵美麗的洋紫荊。對我們而言，其中包含著一股特別意義。首先，它是香港的市花；
而由背向男女像組合而成的洋紫荊圖案則代表著男女同志的合一精神。

How we started                                                                       發展經過

Hong Kong Bauhinias Deaf Club was successfully received the certificate of registration of a society by the Licensing Office of Hong Kong Police in the end of December in 1998 and was organized by a founder who had social experience and some of volunteers on 15th January, 1999.  HKBDC is a non-profit gay and lesbian organization of the Deaf.

1998年12月底，「紫荊聚集」獲政府社團註冊證明書後，於1999年1月16日正式成立，當時是有豐富社交經驗的創辦人及部分失聰人士自行發動，組識成自務會社，該會是一個專為男女聽障同志而設的非牟利組織。

Aim                                                                                    宗旨

 (1)Cultivate the spirit of mutual trust and love among members.

(2)Engage deaf gays, lesbians and bisexuals ("tongzhi") to participate in the planning and the improving of related services in society, and to fight for their legitimate rights.

(3)Encourage the interaction of deaf tongzhi in Hong Kong and overseas.

(4) Encourage the understanding between deaf tongzhi, deaf heterosexuals and hearing members in society.

(1)  發揮彼此信任及互助互愛的精神。

(2)  推動聽障同志參與策劃改善有關服務及爭取合理權益。   

(3)  促進本港聽障同志與外國聽障同志之交流。

(4) 促進聽障同志與聽障非同志及健聽人士之互相了解。

Group                                                                                 組織

Hong Kong Bauhinias Deaf Club is organized by a group of deaf volunteers as Committee.  They are responsible for all the administrative and management duties.

本會為一個失聰人士自務會社，在管理及行政事務上，皆由同志失聰人士組成之委員負責。
